The Blaze 104 is a light, agile powder ski that is constructed with maneuverability in mind. The thin Titanal Binding Platform underfoot harnesses power with little effort, creating an incredibly enjoyable and dynamic turning experience, immediately from initiation. In narrow terrain and/or rough conditions their reaction time is impressive, especially for a powder-width ski. Their full length Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore / Green Core and overall design target short-turn-oriented skiers, but the sidecut’s 4 radius drive sidecut technology adapts to most every riding style. In addition to ripping around the resort, the Blaze 104’s also transition into capable freeride touring skis because of their lightweight, yet powerful nature. With the addition of the Suspension Tip, a rubbery, shock-absorbing material on the tip and tail edges, the Blaze 104 rides high through pow, crud and wind buffed snow with playful power. The Blaze 94 is what we like to call “sporty”. It delivers on many levels, but it is made for the high octane delight of a skier that loves to turn on a dime, in every type of terrain. The 0.3mm thick layer of titanal across the binding platform creates an impressively direct power transfer from skier movement to ski action. Keeping the titanal only under the foot creates an incredibly fun and responsive turning experience, immediately from initiation, with little effort. Although it is designed with short turn radius goals, the 4 Radius Drive Sidecut and Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore / Green Core significantly enhances the ski's liveliness and maneuverability for any turn shape. At only a very low weight and with the addition of the Suspension Tip and Tail (basically a rubbery “bumper” for whatever the ski comes in contact with), it is a fantastic touring ski as well. Regardless of resort skiing glory, off piste endeavors, or backcountry objectives, the Blaze 94 offers an incredibly wide range of use in all conditions.

How do you improve a legend? You retain the features that made the ski famous and add the latest innovations, such as the new 4 Radius Drive sidecut technology which allow progress where a year ago you couldn’t see any room to further push your limits. These next-generation skis are characterised by increased stability, liveliness and maneuverability and offer even more versatility for an exciting experience on and off the groomers. The secret to their enhanced performance lies in Völkl’s innovations: the Tailored Titanal Frame ensures stability, while the Tailored Carbon Tips provide responsiveness. In contrast to its predecessor, the M6 Mantra, the M7 Mantra uses 4 Radius Drive design – an advanced development of the proven 3D Radius Sidecut and an innovation from Völkl that is not yet found in any other model. With this technology, Völkl sets a new benchmark for the ability to vary the turn radius to combine easy handling with rock-solid stability. Maximum versatility for various snow conditions both on piste and off piste, with increased stability on hard surfaces and improved performance on soft snow. By adapting the Titanal components to the various ski lengths and thus to the skier’s proportions, not only can the tip and tail ends be weight-optimised, but the torsional stiffness can also be influenced, thereby improving the ride qualities. This retains the familiar stability of a Titanal ski while also making the Mantra M7 noticeably lighter and more agile to control. The handling characteristics of the Mantra M7 are also enhanced by the tailored carbon tip. The dedicated positioning of the carbon fibres results in a precise tip response and vastly improves the ski’s torsional stiffness. Together, these advancements redefine skiing possibilities, setting a new standard for enjoyment on the slopes. The most versatile all-mountain freerider in state-of-the-art construction with an extremely wide range of use for experienced skiers who celebrate powerful turns in all terrain and on all slopes. The Mantra comes with a different geometry and a centre radius shortened by one metre in the 3D Radius Sidecut. It is important to know that the three different radii combined in one ski generally ensure enormously versatile cornering characteristics. The 16m radius in the centre increases the radius variability even more. Lovers of tight, fully edged, cut turns in particular will get their money's worth here. This allows for a particularly sporty, intuitive skiing style on groomed pistes, but also ensures the necessary manoeuvrability for better manoeuvrability in demanding terrain. Thanks to the shortened centre radius, less effort is also required. The Mantra 88 also features Tailored Carbon Tips and a Tailored Titanal Frame, making it clear that riding fun is the Mantra's middle name. Tailored Technologies - exclusively from Völkl The Tailored Titanal Frame, which is used on the Mantra, Secret, Kendo and Kenja, is a further development of the familiar Titanal frame. With this design, the width of the Titanal topsheet can be adapted to the length of the ski and the resulting torsional rigidity as well as the required damping behaviour for the skier. The proportion of Titanal is reduced for shorter ski lengths, so that smaller or lighter skiers can also get the most out of their skis with little effort. The Mantra 88 is extremely versatile thanks to the Tailored Carbon Tips. The carbon fibres applied using the Tailored Fibre Placement process (TFP for short) allow optimum control of cornering behaviour. The thickness and orientation of the fibres define the required force and energy build-up exactly where it is needed. The agile blade retraction is a particularly positive feature. This means that the ski can be skied round the bend in a controlled and easy manner as soon as the turn is initiated. You could say you just think about changing direction and it's done. In addition, this construction enables a lower weight without any loss of stability. Also built into the Mantra 88 with tip & tail rocker is the tried-and-tested Multilayer Woodcore, surrounded by a continuous sidewall and P-Tex 2100 base.
