Frame binding technology allows skiers the versatility to go touring in boots without tech inserts. ANTI ICE RAIL - Use the metal rail to scratch off ice and snow below your boot sole. HOLLOW TECH - Our fiber-reinforced frame base plate provides impressive riding stability and is yet very light due to the gas injected hollow construction. EPF - EXTENDED POWER FRAME - The power booster. The power frame delivers breath-taking performance and amazing power transfer in every condition. Recommended for skis over 88 mm. CLIMBING AIDS FRAME TOUR - The climbing aid offers two positions with 7° and 13° which can easily be accessed with the ski pole, even in an unstable standing position. Integrated elastomer paddings dampen the impact reducing the irritating traditional “clack” and allow more comfortable hiking. TRIPLE PIVOT ELITE TOE - The toe construction with DIN/ISO up to Z 18 allows for impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5°, it provides higher energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains. Think of the Raider EVO as a crown with eight precious jewels, each one engineered so you could focus on nothing but skiing. Discover each one of them here, from the automatic EVO Brake System, to the adjustable release values of both heel and toe pieces. What makes ATK bindings special is the sheer quantity and quality of patented systems they include, all while keeping the weight to an absolute minimum. The Raider EVO is the perfect example of this. This Free Touring binding, dedicated to downhill performance, weighs only 370 grams and incorporates eight of our unique mechanisms. Key Features: Toe piece: A revolutionary toe piece with adjustable release value. For the first time in the history of pin bindings, the toes don’t have a fixed release value. Why is this important? Because the toe pieces with a default value guarantee a medium retention which therefore works best when the heel unit is also set to medium release values. What happens when you move away from these median values? At low settings the toe will provide most of the hold, while at high settings the heel does most of the work. But now, thanks to this new ATK technology, the front and rear of the binding collaborate equally in managing the releases. Aluminum Snowpack Proof System: this prevents snow and ice debris from accumulating under the mobile parts of the toe piece. Uphill Hardness Variator: a system that you can use to adjust the stiffness of the toe-lug lock in up-hill mode. Easy Entry System: carefully studied geometries that facilitate the step-in. Integrated rampant support. Heel piece: EVO Brake System. A single hand will be enough to manage the ski brake. By rotating the head of the bindings by 180 degrees, the ski brake activates and the binding switches from uphill to downhill mode. At this point, simply step-in to start having fun. Similarly, simply rotate again and press the boot heel on the rear plate to lock the ski brake in position and start the ascent. The head of the binding can now rotate up to 25 degrees to absorb stress before returning to position. Compared to previous models, where the maximum angle was 16 degrees, this wider rotation ensures better energy absorption thanks to a better recall to center action. Cam Release System: our signature patented system that contributes to an effortless step-in and grants amazing torsional stiffness. Power Plates included: the new aluminum plates bring just two extra grams while significantly reduce plastic usage and enhance both the durability and colorful presence of your bindings. Elastic Response System: ensures precise releases and optimal skis performances by facilitating their natural flex, enhancing downhill performances. Magneto heel flaps: an ingenious mechanism that manages the heel flaps through two different magnets. Comfy and precise even when used with poles. Performing Through Lightness: Our foundation, our roots. ATK took its first steps in this industry by developing lightweight race bindings, and now, as then, lightness is key to achieving what athletes crave: speed. Therefore, it's easy to understand why “performance through lightness” has been the mantra that has accompanied ATK's growth in its early years. As our role in the ski mountaineering universe started to evolve, we needed some stabilization because it's easy to lose control during a phase of growth, just as it is easy to get caught up in the events. That's why we decided to keep our roots stable, not changing our approach to the activity, and ultimately not getting in our own way. In fact, as we expanded our catalogue to include the speed touring, touring, and free touring categories, we remained steadfast in our commitment to enabling an ever-wider range of ski mountaineers to achieve performance through lightness. Durability: Crafted from high-quality materials and engineered to withstand the rigors of backcountry skiing, the Raider 13 EVO offers exceptional durability and reliability. Its reinforced components and thoughtful construction ensure longevity, providing peace of mind during your most demanding adventures.
